WIRELESS HEADSETS FOR PHONES.
NTS is now offering a Plantronics Wireless Office Headset System.
The headset is the latest in technology, and is fully compatible
with University telephones. The wireless feature provides 8 hours
of hands-free talk time on a Digital 900 MHz for secure conversation,
300-foot roaming distance from an office phone, and remote one-touch
call answering/ending.
The Headset is available for a one-time $288.00 charge. NTS will
not offer repair or replacement service for the headsets, but Plantronics
will honor their standard warranty and replacement package.

Our reports include tools that improve graph appearance and enable
customers to combine multiple graphs for each connection type.

THE WEB.Want to learn some of the great, web-based features
of the Gopher Messaging voicemail system? This self-paced, online
tutorial shows you how to manage voicemail messages on your computer,
receive notifications of voicemail messages, receive faxes through

NEW COURSE! MOODLE 1.6: CREATING BASIC COURSE WEB
SITES.
Heard about Moodle? Moodle is online course management
software with an emphasis on group work, collaboration, communication,
and critical reflection. If you're ready to dig in and learn how
to build a basic site containing course content and collaborative
activities, this course is for you. Search for "moodle" at

ACTIVE DIRECTORY.
Is your department moving to Active Directory? Wondering how you'll
access your personal file space on the Active Directory servers?
This self-paced online orientation will give you a brief overview
of why your department may be joining Active Directory and show

TECHNOLOGY MINUTE CLINICS: WALK-UP HELP!OIT now
has walk-up express help at 5 locations: 103 Walter Library, 50
Coffman Memorial Union, 50 HHH, B50 Magrath Library, and Centennial
Hall.
COMPUTER RECYCLING.
During the month of September, UCS picked up more than 650
older computers and monitors from U of M departments and refurbished/recycled
according to University recycling policies. More information at:

U-RENT-A-GURU.
In September, U-Rent-a-Guru consultants assisted in 157 computer
support issues for departmental, student or personal computers.
The most common support requests were data retrieval and backup,
virus removals, and computer security package options. 157 is a
UCS record for a one-month

MICROSOFT CAMPUS AGREEMENT SUCCESS.
Over 4100 student Microsoft software orders were placed through
the Microsoft Campus Agreement program for students in September
alone. 28,000 Microsoft software requests have been placed through
this program since the program's inception (August, 2005). More
